Don't worry what people think about you.. but I would have asked them outright.. why would you think I would have done that to "YOU".. ??? Then they would have looked stupid.. just a thought

I have a dopple-ganger.
She's the spitting image of me.
My husband walked up 2 her, put his arm around her waist B4 he realised it wasn't me!
There was a long Silence, then we really looked at one another.
Yep, we could have been twins!
My husband did laugh about it eventually! He was in shock 4 a while.
I bet UR husband's mistaken someone 4 U it's exactly that, a mistake nothing more. He thought it was U.

When I was tiny I went out with my dad 2 a car auction, I put my hand in a strangers hand! Shock shock I thought it was my dad, guess I've been really cautious ever since.
I know where my husband is 24/7, I've never walked up 2 a complete stranger, again!

It probably means that they saw you there, didn't see their wife come over, and were probably quite surprised to think you would do that. Sounds like an honest mistake, not a slur on you or your reputation/image.

When I was about 4 years old, my grandmother was chatting with three ladies on the street. One said something to make me shy and I hid behind what I thought were my Grandmother's coat tails... turned out it was another lady I was hiding behind... I was sooo embarassed when I realized it and they all giggled.

It means they weren't watching what they were doing and thought you were someone else... nothing more, nothing less.

I think it was a simple mistake. Sometimes we do things without thinking, or have a quick reaction. Somtimes we look, but we don't see. I'm sure no harm of any type was intended, nor any insult meant.

If I'm understanding the question, it's nothing to worry about. It was just an innocent mistake.
