I'm going to plan a surprise party for my sister, and I need good ideas because I've never been to one (sence no one has invited me yet thats why). And I'm only 14 and I have to do this all alone. B/c no one is going to think that my sister would really be happy.

The Surprise!
Make sure she has no idea about the party and get all her friends and family there. It might even be cute to have it a a restaurant or something. Have your mom or dad help you reserve a private room and just pretend your taking her out to dinner for her birthday. She will be shocked to see everyone else already there.
Or you could just do it at your house. Have balloons and streamer up everywhere, have punch and cake so that their is and have all her friends there waiting for her and when she walks in have everyone scream"Happy Birthday" and shoot of those little party Popper things with the confetti in them. You should be able to get everything at a local party supplies store or maybe even try looking at wall mart they might have some stuff also.
Just try and imagine how you would want a party for you and go from there.
I'm pretty sure that whatever way you decided to have the party she will enjoy it simple because its a surprise party!
Good luck and I hope your sis has a very happy birthday!

Are you really planning it on your own?

Wow... You must be "superwoman" to handle it all by yourself...

I'm having a surprise party this weekend and have help from atleast 5 others...

The best part is the moment that the person who you like to surprise enters the party...

Mark my words... WATCH HER FACE!!!

Surprise parties are expensive...
First of all you need to know how many people you like to invite... Only family or also invite friends...
Than you have to find the right location... Could be at one of your familymembers (uncles/aunties) or a party center/ communityhall... If I were you I would ask a family member to help you out and ask if you could have a party at their place because I don't think you have a lot of money...

You need to write out invitations...
And know the during of the party...
Is it for one whole day or a mid-day or evening...
Think of what to drink and eat... And the amount of drinks and food/snacks you need to buy...
Not to forget the whole decoration part...

In other words you need help girl... Find someone (more people) you know who have the time and loves/respect your sister as much as you do... And don't forget ask people who can keep their mouth shut...
It is a surprise party after all...

A suggestion for the party... I think you know your sister very well... The thinks she like what colors she like...
And what MUSIC she likes...
There ain't no party without MUSIC...
What I like to suggest is to use the things she likes for the party...
Meaning decorate the place in her favorit color... Well not the whole place... You don't have to "overkill" it... If you know what I mean...
Put her favorit songs on cd's and play it on the party...
I guess your sister is a teenager too... So make some room for a dancefloor...
Make sure you have loads of songs... Even if it is just for background music... It gets boring when you hear the same music over and over again...
You can get a dj but they're not playing for free...
Or maybe you know someone who can "spin" the wheel...

Oh yea... Maybe ask one of her (best) friends to help you out...
They know her too... Maybe even better than you...

Okay... I think I wrote enough...

Wish you strenght...
May everything turn out ok...

the surprise is the best part. Plain it on a day that you know that she is going to be out. and have everyone show up an hour before she comes home. the point to it is to not tell. invite friends family neighbors. there really fun. make sure that you have a camera to take a picture of her face when she come in. on the invitation make sure that you write that it is a surprise party.

first off, i think, with a surprise party try not to worry so much about the food and drinks and music and the way the house looks...focus on the guest list (make sure all of her favorite people are there-thats a big part of it) and MAKE SURE SHE DOESNT FIND OUT!! i had a forteen yr old little sister once-yall arent very sneaky lol

i planned a surprise party for my sister's b-day...with the help of my parents too...it was hard work, but worth it when i saw the look on her face.
the best part was getting her friends at our place, and they kept the party a secret. contact your sister's friends and get your parents to help you.
take care.
