America brought terror upon itself, and to get rid of it, would be..extremely hard!
Alot of Americans believe that Terrorist Muslims kill for..absolutely no reason..just because..they're evil! But..what many dont realize is that we are supporting the people that are killing them everyday..! Then..above all of that..we label them with a BAD names, we try to run their countries, and take their main resources.
My old roomate believed that we can support whoever we wanted..and..it was NOBODYS bussiness..okay..I agree..BUT when we are shipping explosives and money to Israel, who are killing Muslim people as well as Christians everyday with it and we are aware of that and continue doing it, then...we are just as guilty as Israel! So they only do to us, what we do to them..but just not as hard! America..as well as Britain should be lucky that Muslim Terrorist DONT have a strong country supporting them that have the power to blow up the whole freaking country! Yeah, we lost alot of people in the past few years..but they lose more everyday that what we do! A life is a life..no matter who we are..or where we live!
Point being..when SOME American people realize, that our actions are actually causing the terror, then they might want to rethink who they elect for the next President, and what they vote for. Because Muslim people are not bombing other countries..only America, Israel, and Britain..and why is that..Because we are doing it to them first!!

Once the genie is out of the bottle it is hard to get him back in. Targeting civilians did not really become de riguer until the IRA started sending bombs through the post and putting them in public buildings. They were involved with the training of Arab terrorist and other terrorist organizations. Then this type of attack became blase with the Bader Minhoff gang and the attack on the Olympic village. It was used by the Jackal and the Basque separatists. Then Mac Vie showed that it could be used on the mainland of the USA. 9/11 was an escalation in the tactic. If you tell people that if they martyr themselves they will go straight to paradise then they have a initiative to do it.
The use of terrorist methods to achieve an objective, whether or not that objective can be achieved is increasing in popularity. Criminal conduct when started is rarely completely contained. So I am doubtful that the attacks on America will eventually stop. There will always be someone who has a gripe - look at the unibomber.

Completely? No.
There will always be some sort of at least a small attempt to kill Americans simply because they're Americans. They won't always be front-page news and dramatic such as 9/11. But some unwary tourist in, say, the Philippines will get murdered to protest America.
It's nothing new, really. The War of 1812 was a war with the British who refused to recognize the United States right to exist. Many Americans were tried and hanged as "traitors" during that war.
Now Great Britain is our greatest friend and ally (along with Canada.) Eventually, this will be the case with some of our current "enemies."
We also have our own internal terrorists such as the late Timothy McVeigh who hate America and Americans.

We are involved in a clash of civilizations, fighting against another civilization which wants to destroy ours. Ultimately we will prevail - we have throughout history. That is not to say that there will not be huge bloodshed along the way.
By the way, don't think I'm just an arrogant American by saying "we" - when I say "we" I am referring to the West. I am from New Zealand & a proud ally of the United States and United Kingdom. We all share a strong tradition of freedom and liberty, which we must all dedicate ourselves to defending. So enough of this defeatest anti-American rubbish. Pre-2003 Iraq or the USA? I know which system I'd prefer to live under.

No. People will always have some reason to hate anything. For some people it is the fact that we are so much better off than they are. Others are mad because we dont' think that they can take care of themselves and must intervene. Then there are those who just hate us for no reason. They will always want to get their frustrations out against the thing they hate, us. We could be the perfect country only doing true good but some people will even be mad about that. The only thing to do is just live through it. If we live in fear then they get what they want. If we live out our lives truly enjoying every moment, not worrying if we will be killed then they loose and have no affect on us.

Yea, when scientists finally figure out how we can use bombs and bullets for power supplies.

Same question also depends on how ignorant most Americans become.
Americans enjoy freedom because at the same time they do have a sense of responsibility. Which is a good thing, to a certain extent, until others are affected. Others, who are less independent, may need some kind of guildlines, e.g. the koran, which they live their lifes by.

Good question. The answer is yes, if we learn to stop pushing people around. Our American reality is not the reality that everyone else is living with and informs their life. Iraqi's and Iranian people have a whole different look at reality. We are not going to change them in a hurry. They are tough people.
The other way to look at it is: the answer is No! If we continue to act without thinking and praying and reading and studying, then we will continue to screw up and piss people off. Sad but true.

Not as long as we keep creating more terrorists in countries like Iraq. This has been going on for more than 30 years; why should it stop now?
