You say it with an apathetic tone, as if you do not care. That's all it is - an expression of apathy. I say Meh really lazily, with a sneer lol. It's a dismissal through lack of interest or energy. Just 'cos you can't be bothered. I agree with Michael M's description. Meh as in "Me"-thanol.

I personally don't think pronunciation really matters, its the fact you are getting the point across that you are indifferent to whatever the person is saying.

i say meh like the "meh" in methanol. try to say it like that.
