Is it okay? DEFINITELY. We painted just one wall in our living room hunter green and it looked fabulous. Everything we hung on that wall really picked up an interesting quality. Everyone who visited commented on how great it looked, and several of our friends ended up painting an "accent wall" in their homes too.
Use 2" masking tape to protect the other walls from the blue paint. Just put tape over the places you don't want the paint to go.

If you are happy with it then go for it. It will look kinda abstract or off balance but I think it will be cool. You can put tape on the walls that you do not want to get paint on. That will give you a good clean line to divide your white and blue and keep paint off of other walls.

I did this to my walls. I painted two orange and left two white. It creates a totally different look and feel.
There are special rollers that may be purchased which are specifically designed to paint corners and edges of the wall. Too be extra safe, since you are a perfectionist, use tape to prevent any staining.

ABSOLUTELY! Painting one wall is called having an "accent" wall. I think It is a great idea!!!
You can use blue painters tape to tape off the edges of the wall so you dont accidentally paint one of the other 3 walls.

Sure. it's ok with me. You can tape the edges of the other 2 walls to prevent paint from getting on them.

YES!! You totally should do it. If the blue doesn't work out then just paint over it! Make sure you tape it off so you won't get blue on the other walls. Also put tape over the trim or else take the trim off.

If you like the look then it's OK. So you don't over paint use tape. My hubby was a painter at one time. he did this often. Oh yea you might want to put a drop cloth on the floor to keep the paint off there.

I think it sounds like a nice idea. Your choices of soft furnishings (cushions and throws, curtains and feature ornaments e.g. large vases) will have to be in a complimentary or contrasting colour, but with blue there are plenty of options - beige, pink, other shades of blue, even some browns, yellow, green...have fun!

you can totally do that, get some tape and tape the corners when you paint and it won't get on the other walls.
