Some plastic, garbage bag, bread bag, etc. and a cup or other container for the water.

Dig hole in the wet sand, above the high tide mark.
Place cup in the bottom of the hole.
put the plastic over the hole, pile sand on the edges to hold it down and seal off the air in the hole does not need to be air tight you just do not want the wind blowing the moist air out.
Put a small rock in the center of the plastic sheet so that the sheet forms a cone with the point just over the cup.
Heat from the sun will evaporate water from the moist sand the hole was dug into and the water will condense on the plastic sheet and run down and drip into the cup.

Just found this.

Excuse me - but the answer is very obvious.

When you felt thirsty, you would get in your helicopter - fly to the nearest island where there is a pub, have a drink and then fly back.

You didn't say you were stuck on this deserted island.

OR - stay where you are - I'll bring you a drink over. . . . .
Could do with a break!

I would not drink the salt water period. I would use whatever flat objects there may be (life raft, tarp, palm leaves strapped together, or just leaves period right on the branches) and gather water every morning from the dew and during rain storms. In one rain storm, if you could get enough containers, you could get a ton of water.

Collect salt water in an open dish. Place a plastic cover over the dish and allow the water evaporating from the dish to collect on the plastic, then direct that water to another container.
