i mean you had the reality shows like Survivor and American Idol that started everything now look at it...

And that is just MTV alone. I stopped watching this channel when I finally opened my eyes and realized that 95% of their shows are like this (with the exception of music videos late at night- not that I ever watched that anyways).
TV is crap nowadays because all they have is reality shows. Once in a while, they produce a new TV show that actually has substance and is worth watching but for the most part, I'm stuck watching reruns of old shows I like.
The worst part? Hearing friends and co-workers DISCUSS these shows everyday.

I'm not I think they are pretty interesting and the people in them don't mind because they are the ones who ask for a tv show...I'm sure you must know how that works if not too bad try being smarter!!

Yes, it's gone a bit too far. Everywhere you look, there is a new one popping up. I've noticed talent shows are really big now.

They are taking over television. Drama, drama, drama. who cares about this stuff anyway. Why do people like this crap so much, it's STUPID!!!!!! Unfortunately, there are enough viewers to make the ratings go sky high. There are just some people that I want to just smack.

I don't like them myself. I like ones that are like games (Amazing Race, Survivor, etc..)...but the ones where they just follow people around I find kind of boring. I like competition!
