We used to have "Liverpool" bands, "Manchester" bands, etc., even (gulps, being Welsh) "Cool Cymru" but I fear regionality and uniqueness have been superceded by the ubiquitous easy download - now we have a kind of thin, watery soup of music instead of local dishes! We used to go to our hometown record shops and have enthusiastic arguements about what we were going to buy. The internet is both good and crap at the same time - look at what we're reduced to - we should be down the pub having this discussion over a few beers and finding out who's turn it is to put the jukebox money in!

I'm feelin' you, man. Today's music sucks BAD. It all sounds the same: pop, r&b and rap, hip hop, alterna-pop; I throw up a little in my mouth whenever I think about it. Disgusting. Atrocious. It makes me want to scream, "DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, GO OUT AND GET LED ZEPPELIN 4!" Whatever happened to the great bands like Queen, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin? It's like all music today is being recycled over and over again, it all sounds lame.
So I guess when you're 80 and your grandkids are sitting on your lap asking you what music was like in the 2000's, you can just say: "Ugh."

I'm afraid when I hear what's on the radio today, and wonder what you could answer tomorrow...
Happily music's not what we can listen to on radio or TV, that's only advertising.
The underground music world is getting bigger and bigger.... And that's Music!
