East Coast hip hop vs West Coast hip hop? which is better?

well right now Dirty South is king followed by East Coast.....based off mainstream success East coast owns West Coast and owns in Underground hip hop too....but I still wanna hear your opinions on this matter

The stand-out point of East Coast hip hop from other regional forms (in general) is the intricate lyrics. East coast artists tend to be more complex, witty, and versatile (depending on the artist). East coast hip hop also tends to be the only form which still emphasizes the role of the D.J still employing the original techniques of scratching, sampling, and blending , they also address social issues in their communities.
West Coast is more gangsta
Dirty South is more club bangin', such as snap music.

In my opinion East Coast is best but the dirty south and the snap music is not to far off.

maybe is two years Latino Hip-Hop/ Reggaeton will the best.
Nobody could have predicted to fall of West coast hip hop in 1996, with such powerful people as Master P, Tupac, SNoop Dogg, Death Row, No limit , Ice Cube, Westside Connection...

And look at the South just poppin out of nowhere on to the mainstream.

Right now the Latinos are making alot of noise and i would not be surprised if the take over....


But the answer is that it is a Cycle!

Back in the early 90's it was West Coast by far. Now I say power has come back to the east coast. Almost all Southern rap sucks. The rapping has no real substance. Ludacris and Outkast seem to be the only two good artists out the south.

I like both i like wha everybody brings to the table but East coast rap has fallen off a little bit, especially NY but we comin back. We gonna show wha real hip hop is not this finger snappin or hyphy bull****. No disrespect thats how i feel.

hmmm.....i say neither is better....they are different.....i'm from the east coast.....so technically i tend to listen to more east cost than west coast....but honestly the best is coming from the dirty south......
