There is nothing to be scared of it is apart of growing up. Every 2-3 hours change your pad, or you can even try tampons, they are small and you can put them in your pocket.

First of all, relax! Everyone does get their period and there's nothign to be embarassed about!

Look for a pad like the Always Thins that are pretty silent, so no one will hear you with them. One of my favorite tricks back in the day was to unroll the toilet paper just as i was taking the backing off a pad so you couldn't hear the sound. :)

Secondly, get a little makeup bag or something and put some lipgloss and a couple pads in it -- you can take it to the bathroom inconspicuously and if anyone asks you what's in it, pull out the lipgloss and just tell them it's a makeup bag.

Lastly, if your friend just started too and you can both trust each other, have her do a double check on your pants before you leave the bathroom. If there's a spot, a quick dab of cold water will take it out, or you can just untuck your shirt or tie a sweatshirt around your waist. Wear dark pants or jeans on the days you have your period -- you can almost never tell if there is a spot through dark jeans!

Good Luck

It's really not that bad. You can get the thin pads and keep a couple in your purse, just make sure every once in a while that there are no leaks. If you've just started it, you don't want to use a tampon yet. Pads would be a better option for you. If your friend has started hers too, you can always ask them to take a quick look at your pants to make sure there's no leak. That's always worked for me. I've been perfectly spot free since 5th grade and I'm a senior now. Good Luck!

When ur older ull relize bringing a pad isent such a big deal. Everyone has a period, and the boys at school have moms and sisters, there not stupid, they make jokes about it but its not cause there making fun of u they just think its funny. And trust me u need to take a pad with u because if u need one its going to be more imbarrising to bleed through ur pants at school or go have to ask the nurse for one when a bunch of people are standing around. Dont worry so much about it. Dont turn somthing in to a big deal thats not.

AWWWW Honey, first of all you don't know how your cycle is going to be so keep track of how many days you have it and on the last day mark the calender then the next time you get it mark it again and it will be around that many days between each time usually about 28-31 days between and will last any where from 3-7 days. Now there are tons and tons of products you can use, but you'll have to test and see what makes you most comfortable. And there are also very discreet products for carrying. If you can talk to your moms or older sisters or other friend, any women you feel comfortable with and DON"T be embarrassed, this is SO normal. My friends got me through. O yeah you will also get candy cravings and cramps. So get MIDOL or Advil. TALK TO SOMEONE!!!

dont worry.i'm in 8th(when skool starts) and i've had mine since 5th grade. all u need to do is try and change it at least 2 or 3 times so u wont have an accident. ummm. try and find quiet pad which the pad thingies made of cloth so they'll make less noise. try and carry pads in a closed place that nobody knows about when ur in skool. be glad u know u have it and u didnt get it in skool.

well you probably want to start off w/ pads and ur going to have to bring them carry a purse so no one knows or ask your office at school (the nurse) for a pad and you wont have to bring any at all but its probably best if u do bring some u dont want to walk around w/ blood all over your pants my friend at school was on her period and she asked the teacher to go to the bathroom and he kept asking her why she needed to go and he forced her to tell him and then he shouted it out in front of the whole class all the girls were mad and some of the quys were laughing at her but everyone even some teachers wanted to beat him up for shouting that she was on her period infront of the whole class she was crying the rest of the day it was very sad... at least u didnt have to go through that i felt for her... and + i just started mine a couple of months and i am only 12 some girls started when they were in 5th and 4th grade

Just bring pads and keep them in your back pack, if you switch classes between classes go change your pad. If you don't change it it could possibly leak and can smell. If you don't have a super heavy flow you should be good to just change it after lunch and then when you get home.

The only way to take care of it, is to put pad. If you'e still scared that it might flow really heavy, you need to wear dark pants or something that has dark-colored on it. Ask your mom for some advice.
