Hurricane Season is from June 1st through November 30th!!! Check the National Hurricane Center if you disagree!!
The worst months to go are from June through August. It is very hot, the crowds are unbearable and it is HOT!
I am an annual pass holder and Orlando resident and I love to go to the parks anytime from October through May. The weather is nice and the crowds aren't too bad. It's great!

Hurricane season is "mostly" over in October, but most hurricanes that do hit the Florida coast are thunderstorms by the time they hit Orlando, which is about an hour's drive from either coast.
The worst time to go to Disney would be now, the middle of summer, June through August. After September the crowds should thin out quite a bit, they'll pick back up in October for Mickey's Very Scary Halloween Party (but nothing like in summer) and the fall stuff they do at Epcot. November is fairly slow, with the exception of Thanksgiving week, then it's mobbed. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas is one of the slowest times of the year, just avoid those weeks of the holidays, and you get the added benefit of seeing all the holiday decorations, and can even get tickets to the Christmas party in the MK. January and Feb are slow, March starts picking back up with Spring Break, April's horrendous Easter week, and May is quite slow. I've heard employees tell me the best months to go are January, May and September and the first half of December. Also, avoid holiday weekends (like President's Day, Labor Day, etc.) those will draw peak crowds as well.

Technically, hurricane season goes to December 1st and with the way this season has been going, it may last that long since it's taken so long to start. March tends to be a bit crazy because everyone is out on Spring Break/March Break so Disney World is packed and all the hotels get booked up. April or May is generally fairly good from what I can remember. If you don't mind the heat, you could go further into the spring (like end of May or June).

I thought the worst month to go was August or anytime in the summer but you never know. For instance, we just got back from a great Disney vacation and it was amazing. The weather was warm but not too hot and it rained only once for a few hours throughout the entire week. Prices are the best during summer months because most people dont want to travel during this time. The lines were not too bad either ( most rides we waited from 10-30 minutes which is pretty good). My advice is to just book whenever you are able to and go, hope for the best and have a great time! there are no guarantees but a possibility of bad weather should not stop you from going to the happiest place on earth.

october shouldn't be too bad. I am going in September and that is the height of hurricane season. I was there last year and Hurricane Rita went through the Gulf. We experienced some rain, but otherwise had a great time! Hey, It's Disney!!
If it does rain, don't rush to exit the park. (many people do) this is an excellent time to see some of the indoor shows and rides. (lines are shorter)
Some advice, don't rush from one thing to another and try to see EVERYTHING. It is impossible. And you will only get frustrated trying to get through the crowds. Enjoy everything around you. So many people say, "I was there and saw everything in one day." Let me tell you, people that say this have NO IDEA of all the things they are missing! Don't overlook a ride because it looks "too young" or something. We have often been surprised because we decided to go on a ride that we hadn't planned on. We only chose it because there was no line!!!
Have a Magical Time!

There is good and bad about every time of the year. I think the worst time is in the summer when it's blazing hot and the lines are super long. However, if you go in the off season, some of the rides are shut down for maintenence. Whenever you go, make use of the fast pass. If you don't know what this is, find someone who does - it really saves lots of time standing in line.
No, hurricane season officially runs until November. But, other than lots of rain, Orlando isn't usually affected by the storms.

I live about 2 hours from Disney World here in Florida. Hurricane season runs until November 1. October is a fine time to visit. It is summery here but not as brutal as say June/July/August. We have learned a few things about "doing" Disney. We usually arrive there right around lunch time. We take a picnic cooler with us with our lunches inside plus extra drinks/snacks for when we leave. We have lunch in the parking lot and then go inside taking a water bottle each with us. There are drinking fountains inside the park in various location to refill your water bottles. This saves you a TON of money on bottled water inside the park. Arriving at this time of day means that you are also missing the hottest part of the day. It also means that you are not exhausted when nightfall comes and can enjoy Disney after dark too. The parades at night and the fireworks are all worth seeing in my opinion. We eat dinner there and I recommend sticking with the burger combo. The quality was far better than the pizza and other stuff they had to offer. This was more than you asked lol...but thought that I would pass on what I know. Have fun.

hurricane season everywhere interior the northern hemisphere is June 1st to November thirtieth. inspite of the undeniable fact that, the continental us of a is rarely threatened by applying the storms after mid-September. October/Novermber in Orlando might additionally be much less warm & humid than September. October will very virtually easily be heat adequate for swimming. November is iffy for that (cooler).

October is the end of hurricane season. They have been hit twice just lst couple of years. It is not like you are going to get hammered. Plan your vacation for having great weather, and enjoy yourself. Spring break is the most crowded and october is least crowded. I have been going down for years. Just plan it right and you will have fun. ITS DISNEYWORLD
