The British uncovered a terror plot again flights on American, United and Continental heading from London to NY, DC and California. They've arrested 24 people and apparently are still looking for at least 4 more. Terror alerts have been issued at all airports. It seems they were going to try to smuggle explosives in liquids and electronic devices in their carry ons and then blow up the planes. Thus, no carry-on is allowed and if you are flying you're not aloud to bring any liquids, gels, shampoos, etc. If you are flying internationally you can only bring ID and medicine really. They are giving people plastic bags to carry thier stuff in. everything else has to be checked. (There are machines that can detect explosives to check checked bags.)

Suspected terror attacks were apparently foiled in London, which involved the arrest of 18-24 people. Suspicions were about putting together components of explosives, held in hand-luggage which has less security screening also, on flight and blowing up several (3-10) planes between London and America. Now all of the airports here (and with knock-on effects in America) are having serious problems as hand luggage is seriously restricted and there are heavy delays. They're worried they haven't got anyone and that the plan could still go ahead after the police raids.

Am I going to get ten points for giving you this overview of the news?

So now no one can take anything liquid in their carry on baggage or in their hand, no hair gel, no shampoo, no liquid makeup, no water. You can put these items in your checked baggage.
