Eating is not just the process of getting food into your stomach, at least for humans. When you eat you also are reminded of the good times you had eating in the past. You think about suppers with your family, the first time you went to a restaurant with your lover, some spectacular meal that made a vacation memorable, or how great it feels to have your hunger satisfied. Unfortunately this facet of eating overwhelms the physical one of just consuming edibles. That is why so many people have gotten fat - because they eat not to satisfy their hunger but for the emotional joy of remembering pleasures of eating.
