Wow, if you're not Muslim, I really appreciate you looking in another perspective! Not too many people around here are capable of doing that! I cross the border very regularly to Canada and they always have some dumb excuse to send us in. It's only cuz we are muslims. They actually ask if we have any firearms or weapons in the car! We travel as a family. Do we really look like we have all that crap? I dont think "destruction"; I think peace and tolerance. It's sad how we have been so brutally stereotyped!

My friend actually got arrested for something he didn't do. Only because his name was the same as the real guy they were looking for. However, the address and date of birth were completely different! He got arrested in a "white" area and was put with all sorts of crazy real criminals! This is our world today....

Thanks for giving me hope. Not every person around here is ignorant, I guess!

They're as much victims as we are. I feel sorry for anyone having to fly today, of course. What an awful day for it.

2. Their brethren? I don't know about you, but as a Catholic living in Canada, I take absolutely no responsibility when a Catholic in Ireland blows up a coffee shop in a Protestant area. Neither should any Muslim feel ashamed when some nutjob who claims to follow Islam blows up a train station.

I feel bad for Muslims every day, everybody all around the world think that they are terrorists, all the embassies in the Muslim world give a very hard time to give a Muslim a Visa, while all Muslim countries are open to any visitor, Muslims are mistreated these days everywhere, they are considered criminals, they are not trusted ever since the 9/11 which is really unfair, 99% of Muslims are kind and lovely.

I don't think anyone wants to be sterotyped, labled, especially if it's connected to a bad group of people. When I was growing up I had a German last name in a highly Jewish populated area. The kids used to call me a Nazi. It wasn't a good feeling being grouped with those people who committed horrible crimes against humanity, and I was obviously too young to have been in WW2. So I too feel badly for anyone who has to travel and knows they will be looked, at watched, and searched just because of their name or if they look a certain way. I just hope they keep in mind it's because of safety, not a common hatred towards them from all Americans.

I don't think that it's happening to all Muslims, this is just a religion. I think it's happening to people that look like they are Pakistani. These are the people that are watched over, because they are considered a terrorist even though they might not have any association with that, but because if what happened on 9/11 everyone is a suspect.
