Ideally, snowshoes. The larger the shoe, the better. Why? Because when you take a step all of your weight pushes down on the grass by the entire shoe. A big shoe means the same weight pushes down, but over a larger area, so less pressure will crush the grass underneath.

How much walking are you doing on this grass? Chances are that any footwear you choose won't damage it beyond repair. Wear what is comfortable for you - and remember that if you wear stilettos on the grass, the heels will sink in - it's really tough to walk that way! :)

Skateboard shoes are the best on the green - Like Vans. Anything completely flat, without a heel or grip.

Judging by your photo, you're obviously a prisoner. Are you about to jump over the wall of the nick and land on the soft turf of a bowling green before making your getaway?.....no?...fair enough.
Any soft soled shoe would do.

Completely flat ones - like golf shoes or pimple soled trainers. Ask at your local shoe shop.
