You know, the push to talk ones. Bad enough we used to have to hear one side of a conversation we didn't want to hear. Now we are 'treated' to both sides of the drival! =p

OMG they are the dumbest thing. Why would anyone want people to be able to hear their whole conversation, does it make them think they are "cool". No one wants to hear them talk let alone the person on the other side. Plus you couldn't say anything private because everyone could here you, if you are not alone.

I hate that people will have their whole conversation on a nextel phone (you being able to hear every word passed between the callers) yet a Nextel user will look at you like you are the rude one when you are staring at them! I can't help it, I just heard about how you don't think you are the father of your pregnant girlfriend's baby since he's a "hoe" and you can't be tied down like that because you are "too young." Oh!!, and don't even get my started on how many times I've been freaked out on a dark street at night thinking someone with an ear piece mic for their phone is talking to me. Don't look at me weird when I answer the question you just asked the person on the other line or if I say "hello." How do I know that conversation wasn't for me. You were looking me right in the eye.

Both FI and I have nextel phones but we tell people not to alert us, they just have to push the talk button once and we will know someone wants to talk....for the beep beep noise~The only time I get annoyed is when the people across the street are dinking around and it's going off every minute or so....that gets irritating but what can I do when I have the same phone?

It's not a beep people, it's a chirp! Everyone that has a Nextel phone has the option to but the conversation on quiet or loud but most people leave it on loud because it makes it easier....hands-free is cool!

I'm totally with u! I was at a movie theater, it was during a quiet, dramatic part. Then, all of a sudden, you hear a Nextel saying " HEY SWEETHEART "
I was so pissed!
But we'll hang together grrl!

p.s. you dont really "hear" the conversation; it sounds more like a sh#tty electric guitar solo because it is so distorted.
p.s. Boost Mobile vs. Nextel- it makes no difference, as it is the same technology; gee, thanks Motorola!

I carry a Nextel for work. I can't stand it. My own Nextel annoys me!!!!

they are fine for construction guys so the can contact each other on top and bottom of whatever they are building other than that they are annoying like when people use them in stores and out and about for the whole world to hear the details of a strangers life
