I'm not shallow, really....i guess it was worded wrong...He says he is that way and that is how he likes himself. He had a party and we were invited and had a good time there...so sorry that some of you took it I was shallow.....errrrrrrrrr.. I have a weight problem and I am a bit short, but I have long hair, and I'm not too bad in the face dept......and after a divorce it took me 17 years to find a boyfriend...so I was just looking for suggestions on what makes one attracted to some one NOT tall dark and handsome or to a female that is NOT a model.....

Its a good person that sees the heart and soul inside a perfect person and not the less than perfect shell that person travels in .
he may see himself in a different light and he obviously likes what he sees .good on you 17 years is a lot of quiet time ,sounds like your happy . good 4 u

Good people are attracted to smart, kind people. If you socialize with more people, you're more likely to find someone attracted to your good qualities - regardless of your genetic appearanc.e
Laugh easily. Don't worry too much about "initiating" or "saying the right thing." Instead, focus on being RESPONSIVE to whatever they do.
Don't let bad hygeine be a culprit - so cologne, sharp clothes and clean breath are paramount.
If you're not getting the feedback you want, then politely slow down, but don't be rude. Don't worry about silences, just be easy going. Draw them to you with honey instead of trying to trick them with bait.
