i asked this last night like at 1 but didnt get enough answers. its realy close for me but im goin to have to go with.... actually i cant decide lol they both have thier funny parts.

Clerks is definately more ground breaking and much funnier than Clerks 2. Its amazing how Kevin Smith could produce such a classic movie with such a small budget and right after dropping out of film school! As someone else has already pointed out, you can't watch one without wanting to watch the other one. Really, in my opinion, all of the movies are worth having a KS marathon for!

No doubt that the first movie was the better of the two. But I'd have to say that Clerks 2 was funnier. Smith had more money, more material, and Elias.
The "Pillow Pants" scene alone was worth the price of admission.
Clerks 2 was funnier. You gotta be as blind as Anne Frank not to see that!

I kinda liked Clerks 2 better. Its in color and it has more of a flow to it. The original is hard to beat though. Both are friggin hilarious though and I can't wait to buy Clerks 2 when it comes out on DVD.

I enjoyed both, but really found the original to be the better of the two. There were too many points in the sequal that dragged and attempted to be funny, but were only slightly humorous. The first one was over the top!

definitely the first Clerks. it was actually original at the time. kevin smith has turned into the director i hate: rehashing older movies into something "new" in order to keep cred.

They are both great I like the second one better but the first one has it's moments.The first one is good because it is orginal but the second one is just funny because of it's relationship between the characters so the second one is better/funnier
