So now you can't take toothpaste, shampoo, etc. onto a plane. Couldn't terrorists now just take liquid on some other way - hide bladders in their clothes, up an orafice, or create something that looks like a book or eyeglass case but holds liquid or gel?

If terrorists can blow up planes by just smuggling small amounts of liquid or gel onboard, we're in big, big trouble!

Security measures are for the peace of mind of the travelers. They do very little actually to stop terrorists.

My brother is a commercial pilot, and I know someone who is a federal air marshal. Any competent terrorists could smuggle pretty much anything they want on board a plane. All it takes is a little planning and creativity.

Fortunately, most would-be terrorists are stupid, which is why they get caught.

When your baggage goes through the xray machine, the liquid or gel will show up in whatever container that it's in.

Wouldn't you rather be safe than be stopped & put under suspicion because you packed a tube of toothpaste especially when you were told not to?

Fill the human bladder with gelled explosive and set it off in the aircraft's chemical toilet. Voila, completely concealed bomb.

Welcome to the real world. Terrorism is a fact of life and cannot be eliminated.
