Well, If I was stranded on a island for 2 months I would take.....
#1 Food
#2 Water
#3 A tie between a tent, or hygiene stuff.
#4 My boyfriend (hey I need someone to talk to)!

Does a boat count as a way to contact anyone?
If it doesn't:
1. A small motor boat with a backup set of oars.
2. Two weeks worth of fresh water.
3. A map
4. A compass
If it does:
1. Two weeks worth of fresh water
2. An IPod
3. An Air Force survival instructor (a cute one!)
4. Matches

A good knife.
A pot for cooking and boiling water.
A journal.
I wouldn't bring anything electronic b/c there would be no way to use it. If it took batteries, the batteries wouldn't last long. A knife would be good for multiple uses, as would a pot. Since there would be a lot of time with nothing to do, a journal would be a great way to document your emotions and reflections. Perhaps you could learn a great deal about yourself by being out of the modern world for 2 months.

If not i would bring ...
1. an endless supply of matches
2. 2months supply of food and water
3. My ipod filled with every song ever made from 86' to the present, and a way to charge it with solar energy.
4. A hut filled with a pillow, bed, stove, and all the necessities like clothing and stuff.
You didn't say the things couldn't contain other things :)

2. A nice knife for cleaning fish, cutting small branches, spearing fish, hunting animals
3. A solar powered water distillation system
4. A comprehensive survival guide book
If I could have a #5 it would maybe be an axe for cutting wood to build a shelter. #6 might be rope also for building a shelter and various other uses.
