Why people feel they have a right to judge someone by his/her question on Yahoo?

Question

You try to make a question short, and people make all kinds of assumtions out of that and start telling you what a prick you are..And don't know a single thing about you. Why do we like to judge so much, especially on the net where it's safe and you don't have to see the person's eyes?
Is anyone perfect in here and does anyone has the right to judge others? This is pretty sad. Like Jerry Springer show where one group of red necks laughs at the other.

It's kinda like being a guest on the Imus In The Morning radio show. It doesn't matter what you say or how you say it. They mock you horribly. If you bristle, they drop you like a hot potato, then they make fun of you after you're gone. But if you take their abuse well, they back off (a little) and then they invite you back.

Go figure.

I feel that some people do judge others on here, however, there are other people that are simply here to ask and/or answer questions that people have. For me, I do not judge a person, or at least I feel that I don't judge for asking questions about things on here, unless it happens to be a completely pigheaded or obnoxious question, then I may. For the most part, I only answer questions that I have an answer to because I either learned it from school or I have been through a similar experience as the asker has.

I don't think people have the right to pass too much judgement, but then again if you are going to put yourself out there and give many details to your life and experiences, I guess you can expect to be judged by some people. It is human nature I guess..and I feel as though some of us feel we have the right to judge people when given certain information..

I wish I could explain it to you, but sometimes I have a hard time understanding it myself. I think people just react to their immediate impressions without giving it some thought. It's very difficult to know when someone is being serious or genuine on the internet. I think people's true personalities show on the internet for the reason you stated; You're safe and you don't have to look people in the eyes. Social rules are no longer a factor when you're staring at a machine and typing words into it.

The best way to handle these people are to report them and then ignore them. Best of luck to you...don't let a few bad apples ruin the experience. I always try to stay neutral when I answer questions.

It's fun to dish out the jibes, don't you ever take the piss, at least little, out of your friends? You do that because you feel secure enough to do so. It's like puppies play fighting!
The ones who are downright mean are just the same as the cowardly bullies you find anywhere you go in life.
Try not to get over involved with it, life should be a great big learning curve so have fun learning that the anonymous folks on the internet are the same folks you will meet every day, on the street(apart from the odd few who never leave their house because they are so keen to give their opinions on yahoo!answers).

I can sort of understand what you are saying.I have only been logging on and off this web site for about 2 weeks.After some time you can tell who is asking a question for a laugh or asking a question seriously and who is being inquisitive.I asked a question once just for a laugh,and alot of people came down on me like a tone of bricks.The question was not racial,it wasn't sexual,it wasn't attacking anyone.Some people are just like that,take it as a pinch of salt.Best of luck to you.

Why are you so upset? Why are you taking their comments personally? Usually it's because you know they are right. I have read your last post about your wife. You sound immature in that post and that's why people judge you. You have let them do so by saying things like that. It's actually your fault not theirs. People don't walk down the street ducking and flinching at things that are not there(unless they are crazy). People don't read into things if you don't allow them to. Besides I agree take it easy on her, try to pass a golf ball out of your **** and then tell me when you want to do it.
