Bon Jovi, Madonna, M Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner starting by1985 the 2nd and most successful part of her career, the Pet Shop Boys, Elton John, Prince, Bryan Adams, Sting, INXS and some others dominated the charts during the 80s, an interesting period in music; I cannot think of just one hit representing the era.

I remember listening to Paula Abdul, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson and Wilson sisters (they broke up quick and I forgot the name of the group of 3 women)...I don't think I listened to Madonna or Michael Jackson until the late 80's and early 90's

I love 80's music, so I can't say just one song is the best, but the best bands are Depeche Mode and the Smiths!
Oh, and you gotta love songs like Video Killed the Radio Star, Kung-Fu fighting, Another One Bites the Dust.....etc....
