Most likely. My brother broke 2 phones less than a month apart through water damage. The insurance on the phone is a worthy assurance because you never are quite sure what will happen. The insurance was very easy to claim and took all in all about a week between phones. He uses Verizon and they are great in our area!

Maybe it depends on the amount of time it spent in the water. Take out you sim card open the phone take off the face plates if their detachable then blowdry it on cool or let stand for 24 or more hours. You will then be able to see if it still works. Goodluck

Most likely it's ruined, I work for a cell phone company and in my experience i've seen about 1 outta 10 phones work after receiving water damage and even then they saw a dramatic loss in quality of signal, sound, and their options (ie. camera, mp3) didn't work at all.

Either way, I wouldn't be putting that thing near my face. And what were you doing with the phone near the toilet? What is with people these days talking on the phone and doing their business? Just plain nasty!

My co-worker's phone fell in the lake. She let it sit in her vehicle in the heat and now she says it works. Don't put it in the direct sunlight, like, maybe under a towel, but in the heat of the car.

not necessarily, take the battery out and let it dry out before turning it on. Then try it tomorrow. I dropped my digital camera in the lake and it still works to this day.
