Does this show that if terrorists eventually devise a bomb out of clothing materials, that airline passengers will have to fly naked or at least partially naked? Just kidding - but seriously - how long should the U.S. and its citizens continue to make decisions based on fear? Do you think, as a nation, our collective, reflexive actions based on rumors and isolated incidents have gotten expensive and out-of-hand, bordering on paranoia? Or are we starving the baby to save it from choking?
Thoughts please.

Umm, OK so that's really several questions - but the real question is - when it comes to security, is there such a thing as "going too far"?
PS - this is not a complaint - it's a Query, a Question - to prompt intelligent thoughts and answers. Thank you.

I would not be surprised at all if it goes so far as strip searches of everyone boarding a plane or the stoppage of international flights

It is very extreme. Is it warranted? I can't really say

I dont think millions of people should be strip searched or not allowed to go anywhere to save the lived of 3,000 people

drunk driving kills a lot more and we havent banned alcohol yet

If I were on a plane over the middle of the Atllantic would i thinkl differently? Probably so!

you know, in every crowd there's bound to be one or two or you that complain when the government takes measures to protect you. Yet, if they didn't you'd complain then as well. Isolated incidents are what lead to thousands of people dying when an aircraft collides with a building, reflexive actions are what slow down a day's commute and save thousands more from dynig tomorrow.

I kinda agree that Canada and US are living in paranoia. It's what the government wants, people are easier to control when paranoid.

this is getting so serious and big. I actually wouldnt be surpised if they made us go in bathing suits onto the plane after they make us take off all of our clothings.

i hope one day in the near future all bad people will be dead
