Okay, this is strange. I am single, I have a crush on my son's martial arts instructor and I want to ask him out. based on how he acts around me I am sure it's mutual. And this isn't something where my son will go onto the next grade or whatever and then it would be more appropriate. It's a permanent thing with his classes, the teacher will always be there. Should I go for it?

Well, I'm a teacher. A parent asked me out once and I must say I felt really strange about it. It was very awkward when I told him I had a boyfriend. He kept coming to see me and being persistent. Before asking him out, be sure he's available and interested. You can ask him out if you're really into him but don't push it. If he says no the first time, please don't ask him twice!

at the same time as i replaced into in Kindergarten, I loved my kindergarten instructor. If it were criminal, I merely would have tried to pull her down the first church aisle i could discover (there replaced right into a synagogue acceptable in the approach the line from my college). on the finest day of Kindergarten, I blubber cried the most pathetic, huge crocodile tears a six 3 hundred and sixty 5 days-previous could muster (yeah, i replaced into enrolled a three hundred and sixty 5 days overdue). in case your weigh down replaced into like mine, you had no theory what you've been going to do with her any more effective than I did (birds and bees communicate replaced into no longer further up on the instantaneous). and no matter if you probably did, so what? you're ok, no concerns.

I don't believe you should pass up any opportunity to find happiness in your life... What if this is the person you have been looking for? You could always disguise a dinner date as a chance to talk about your son's advancement and possibly entering him in competitions. This will help you get a feel if this person is in your same ballpark. Or if you are actually out in left field somewhere.

If you're sure that the feelings are mutual, there is absolutely no harm in going for it! If your son has a problem with it, you can always find him another instructor, or find yourself another man. The worst that can happen is he says no!

You need to leave the teacher alone. If you would go out,the other kids would think your son is getting special treatment and things would be rought for him.You could always try a different place for martial arts.

That's a tough one. Well i say start out slow like ask him out for coffee and if you think it can become something special than go from there. But if you don't think it will be worth it then just toss it up to experiance and stay friends.

No, nothing good can come of you dating your kids teacher. If it does not work out then your kid is left to deal with it at school and it will always be uncomfortable for the child no matter what...be smart

I agree with Creolegirl because what if it does not work out? What then, then it would be very awkward for all three of you and maybe you might need to take him out of that activity.

And then when all your kid's peers find out you're screwing the teacher and start making fun of him, will you be asking how to resolve that?
