Someone I work with said that today. I just wanted to know if everyone is striving for this? Personally, I'm not. I want a decent old farmhouse in the country.

Hell No!!! The american dream is the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. its about freedom and making your own way without someone else telling you whether its allowed or not

I would say that (by the way the general public portrays it) the majority of America has the goal to be loaded (rich) and to be able to by a million dollar house... but i dont really want a big house, just a maid to clean my small one ;)

might be a dream but not a reality. Everyone has dreams but not all want a bug house those that are material guided might but those down here in reality are on a different level

I don't care about a million dollar house- if I was that rich, I wouldn't be there much anyway. I would be out seeing the world :)

no i don't think it is...that's just to specific a statement to be true for "the American dream"
i don't want that...i want an old Victorian-style house or apartment in the city

A million dollar home is far fetched, I pray for a home that would be nice though =) simple, smaller is OK too.
