I have one on each cheek. They are not huge but big enough to bother me. They started to appear after I had my last child and they seem to be getting darker. I'm really self concious and want a remedy. I have insurance but I'm almost sure that If I saw a dermatologist they would concider it cosmetic and not medically necessary. Maybe someone out there had a similar problem and found a cure. Let me know.

Use a cream with retinol.
I found a great one - Help Me by Philosophy.
I use it at night and it really evened out my skin tone and lightened up the discolorations.
Just remember to wear sunblock during the day.

thats not going to be considered a medical problem covered by your insurance unless its something serious...which it might not be...it could just be sun spots or natural darkening of your skin that appear with age.

try using a skin-lightening cream or spot-fading cream. you can buy them in most drug stores.

Going to a derm[atoligist] is the only way to find out. Find one near you and make an appointment asap! As of now, use cover-up or foundation. Good luck!

You can buy bleaching type creams. They are used to diminish age spots but could work for your brown spots too. Good Luck.
