Actually, the question is whether the US will wake up.

Europe has been living with terrorism long before today, September 11th or other Islamic terrorism organizations.

The UK has had the IRA, Spain the Basques etc.

The US is the only one who thinks that this is somehow some sort of abberation and is different than in the past.

The rest of the world understands that this is just part of living in modern society. We on the other hand freak out about it and go rampaging through foreign countries endangering our own selves further.

Unfortunately, no.

European politicians are too concerned with political correctness and tolerance to diagnose the real issue of terrorism. To them, and a lot of the west, we still continue to ignore terrorism as an imminent threat. The failure to recognize terrorism, as well as appease its actions will only let history repeat itself and draw us into another world war. The country that definetly needs to wake up are Britain and France. Their politicians have become slaves to the Muslim minorities living there. The muslim minorities are given far far far more attention than any other minority in those two countries.

And for the people who believe that this was a conspiracy plot by the CIA and M1-6, these are the same people who believed that blair planted the bombs in the underground. These are the people, most of all, that need to wake up, and see that there is such a real thing called terrorism, and it will be at your doorsteps soon enough.

Cheers.

What does Europe have to wake up to?
Is this merely a lesson on how to gallivant around the world and create more problems for everybody?
Or is Europe supposed to be learning how to be hypocritical and overbearing?

Pedro, perhaps you should go and learn what actually happened in ww2. The British were into appeasement the French were just dragged along, the french would have sorted out the facist in Spain if it wasn't for the British.

probably not just after these attempts, which of course failed and was detected.

If you are an American, you need to understand that us British people have been under terrorist attacks for decades, without sounding mean, Americans are only just coming to terms with terrorist attacks on their home soil.

we have been there done that, a few bombs/terrorist attacks don't faze us the same as they do to you.

Not trying to denounce the importance of these recent attempts, but will take a lot more to scare us into action.

We used to have bomb scares in most major cities almost every week from the IRA (Irish Republican Army), if not every few days. This group has split many times, and you can see each form's lifespan in the links in sources.

Spain also has had its fair share of alerts and successful bombing campaigns from the ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna ). please see link for more details

Terrorists are nothing new, the difference is nowadays the term 'terrorist has a new meaning.

'Terrorisim' used to mean a group who used 'terror' to achieve their political goal, these people would warn governments/police that there was a bomb due to go off at a certain time to scare people without causing civilian deaths, although they did actually kill people on occasion

this new breed of 'terrorism', are incorrectly labelled, they are not terrorizes, we already have a term for them and that is 'mass murderers' they do not attempt to warn people of the bombing before they happen, there main aim is to kill not terrorize

You idiot! There was no plot in the UK,that was MI-6 and The CIA arresting a bunch of Muslims who will be detained indefinately and ultimately found not guilty, but by that time the Nazis Bush and Blair will still be raping the world for oil and profit and The New World Order and all you sheep will still be cowering and following blindly your Nazi leaders straight into hell.

I sure as heck hope so! They are just as at risk as the US and any other civilized nation that has to deal with these animal terrorists - annihilate them NOW. Come on, Europe! Get behind us!

Europe does not need to wake up because they have already woke up and have been doing good politics so they do not have much problem as UK and US do.

Europe is awake, dumbo. This is why we stopped the intended attack. Unlike the thicko CIA who allowed 9/11 to happen.

Europeans are simply clueless. The French are the worst, they only realized Hitler was a problem when he was touring Paris with the German Army. They will never get that appeasement doesn't work and freedom is not free.

You tell'em tmladenka! If one stirs up a wasps nest, one shouldn't be surprised to get stung. In my view, this problem is largely the fault of the west, because of our policy and ISRAEL! We should wipe it off the map! By "it", I mean Israel. Long Live Hezbollah!
