Umm. . evolution can't happen, and didn't happen, because evolution is impossible.

It's mathematically impossible, as well as every other way, and goes against all known laws of science (as well as common sense).

It is a groundless religion.

You'll learn a lot if you go there with open eyes and an open mind.

First, the God question.

If you believe in an omniscient omnipotent God then that god could create the universe pretty much any damn way he or she wanted. He could have created it in 7 days like the book says and left fake fossils lying around to test our faith, or she could have designed a universe where beings evolved from some kind of primordial seed according to his or her plan

So God and evolution can exist in the same universe. Whether you choose to accept or reject evolution on the basis of religion will be a personal choice based on your believe and trust in certain texts and certain opinion formers. Personally I believe there is a whole lot about the world that I will never know for certain so I tend to allow people their opinions and beliefs and look more to the actions they perform, for good, in the world.

So, if you accept the previous conclusion, the next question we need to ask is "Is evolution good science?" . Does it support and explain the facts of the world as we see them? Does it make predictions that we can test in experiments?

I would argue that it does pretty much. There have been various flavours of evolution proposed since darwin first suggested evolution by natural selection and I think the most significant is the realisation that individual species do not evolve in isolation, ---whole ecosystems (eg planet earth) evolve simultaneously!!!
But I don't want to digress into those ideas because I want to answer the question.

First, it's important to realise that evolution has no goal in mind. There is no one pulling the strings, or directing the outcome. Certain patterns (ecosystems, species, genotypes) are reproduced, others are not. Whether they are copied or not depends on immediate, short term outcomes on the timescale of a "generation" - what ever that happens to be for the species involved. Humans are not "the pinnacle" of an evolutionary process. They, we, are a very successful species sharing a limited amount of space and energy with millions of other species.

Second, in human life, evolution is taking place on several levels.
1) evolution of the genotype
basic biological evolution
2) evolution of the phenotype
depend on environment of birth, nutrition, work, child rearing practises
3) evolution of mind/culture
the realm of "memes", ideas and behaviours
4) evolution of artefacts
architecture, farming, design, writing, sculpture, painting etc.

Now. If a big asteroid came and smashed into the planet earth then we'ld all be fried. Hell would reign on earth for generations and you can bet the insects would be taking over the planet.

Or maybe the world will enter another iceage, humans would revert to a hunter gather existence, clinging onto the fragments of technology that survive while under the sea the whales and dolphins take over the planet.

A virus could mutate and kill all the mammals on the planet.

Or we could find really cheap and sustainable ways of harnessing solar energy, create an enviroment that is diverse and rich in life and intelligence.

And there's the rub, the catch, the hidden joke. Because as far as I understand the universe so far it is our very consciousness, our very ability to ask the question or to believe in a god, that reaches out across space and blows up the asteroid or finds a vaccine against the virus.

Consciousness changes things. It means we get the chance to make a choice. We- you , me, we get to decide what will be next to human and human society.

Humans will have much shorter legs because they don't use them enough. The head will be cocked to one side towards the shoulder for ease in using cell phones. We will have an Amazon world because males are no longer needed as much for the propagation of species. Only males with high physical and mental qualities will be allowed to mate. The rest will be eliminated.

I think it stops with us. We are controlling the environment now and will not allow another "competing" species. There will be evolution, but not in direct competition with Humans.

Evolution theory itself is foolishness.

Can you tell me in evolution of humans whether male was evolved first or female was evolved first? It it is male, how females evolved? If females were evolved from males, is there not something more than evolution???

Nothing, as someone else said, humans would not allow another creature to become as inteligent as we are. we are too arrogant to believe filthy creatures could ever and should ever become as inteligent as us, as is shown by people that refuse to believe we came from a common ancestor as apes did.

Evolution is just a theory.

If it were a science then we would be able to find out.

Evolution Theory doesn't hold water.

God Bless You ;-)

We'll lose the last remnants of our useless reptillian parts, such as the tail bone, appendix and other unneeded appendages.

all creatures have facinating and intricate societies of there own. if you would like to know what would be dominant if we didn't exist then it would be the most violent destructive and bullying species, thats how we gained dominance isn't it ?
