Scion calls it Pure Pricing:
"Our goal from the start was to change the conventions of the auto industry. We set out to create an affordable, unique & sophisticated vehicle. We wanted to create a new environment for people to purchase a car in - the kind of place where you're not sold a car, but rather where you would go to buy a car. Simple, straightforward & convenient - that's Pure Price.
Here's how it's done: Scion's Pure Price purchase experience means no haggle, no hassle. The price you pay for all products and services offered equals the dealership's posted and advertised price. Price menus are clearly posted in the dealership showroom for all products and services. Dealers are free to set their own prices."
Scion dealer's are well known for taking care of their customers and sponsoring Scion track meets, BBQ's and other such things.

RE:
Scion User only: question about scion pricing?
For all Scion Users:
I am thinking about buying a Scion XB. Is it true that Scion prices are the same regardless of dealership or state? In that case, what can you negotiate to get a lower/better price?

I sold Scions for a little while. Scion does use "Pure Pricing." This means that the whatever the sticker price is for a vehicle, that is the price you pay. There is absolutely no haggling on the price of the vehicle. Scion doesn't allow the dealers to lower the price. The point is that everyone pays the same price for the vehicle. It is possible for their to be a *slight* difference in price from one dealer to another, but this is very rare.

Scion prices are predetermined. They do not have a high profit margin, they make their money off of accessories and through sheer volume sales. At the dealership they have haggle-free sales so there really is no bargaining or negotiating involved.

Yep, it's pretty much true. The only pricing haggles might come from the dealer installed accessories.
Why do you want to haggle? The xB is a steal for the price anyway.

Look --- just get some plywood and screw it onto an old Toyota Corolla until it looks like a toaster. Save big bucks (because, in answer to your question, ALL XB's cost too much, even if they're free).

I've heard their pricing is no-haggle, just like Saturn used to be/Is today.
That may have changed though.

Scion is a brand that can only sell at MSRP(for the current model year and brand new), no more and no less, at any Toyota/Scion Dealership controled by Toyota.
