I think some values are instilled in you by your parents. But I also think that as you grow into adults that you develop your own values and gain your own perspective on life. Sometimes I think the way we are treated makes us into the kind of people we are. Whether it be bad or good. I think we do tend to live by other peoples values if we spend alot of time with them. There does come a time when you have to reevaluate your values and what you want in life and the peoples' values that you spend your time with become important. I believe if you really care about something or someone your actions do reflect in that and vice versa.

It's difficult to say which values lend my existence the most credence.
To start with, the very foundation of my very will to live is without a doubt embodied in my compulsion to hoard shiny, glittering objects of various shapes and sizes. That is, by light years, the most important passion I possess.
As far as providing any deep introspection into the background of the other realms of my ideological, emotional and ethical gestalt... I can only reflect on the dazzling reflections of all those shiny, glittering objects.
In conclusion, however, I find myself with no other choice than to ask if you might possibly have any pretty, shiny things around?

My values come from a number of sources. Family, friends, community, law of the land, personal interest and needs, as well as the needs of my family, community and friends.
I can't pin my values on any specific religion simply because I don't participate in any one religion.
