I think that the basics for every religion are about the same. The rules and details just vary slightly. Personally, I think that people should be able to believe as they wish and not persecute anyone for what they choose to follow...but that would be in an ideal world, and this is anything but.

Freedom of speech goes hand in hand with freedom of religion. As long as their religion doesn't avocate the breaking of a law, like spousal abuse, polygamy, that sort of thing, then talking about it is protected by freedom of speech. Sorry. Have to disagree with you on that. But agree with your right to bring it up and vent an opinion about the religious fanatics that drive us all completely insane. Sorry. Rant.

That is the law of the day in most of the western world. On a practical level our world is agnostic in the west.

But if someone has goodnews then can you blame them for wanting to spread it?

I pray we become friends and be acquainted with thy religion, but if it's much Ado about nothing than keep it to thine own self.
You don't have to believe every ones opinion about their religion, but it is good to understand someone Else's belief, not fight about it.

Yes I think we should keep our religion to our selves, to a point. Saying that god will forgive you for not believing in him, is too far. But just saying that you are a believer is ok!

No. You don't want to ram it down someone's throat but if you find someone who thinks like you or is open-minded then you can have conversation and debate your convictions. I would never try to force my beliefs on anybody. We're all free agents.

Hey that's a good idea. Too bad it won't take, cause Christians think they have to proselytize the world.

I wish people would keep their religion to themselves. I don't discuss my religious beliefs with anyone else. It's no one else's business.
