Talent, vision, ability to sketch, ability to execute designs, understanding of clothing construction and how fabrics drape, eliments of design.
BTW: Bradly on Project Runway...really sucked. Keith was a cheeter and Vincent and Angela are off on their own planets.

creativity, but also practicality
you should be able to know how garments are constructed (sewing, seams, fastenings, etc)
good communication skills (cuz you will be working with a bunch of other people)
you should also be good at observation of surroundings and who your clients are
knowing how to illustrate clothing helps

U need to know how to sew different materials with different needles and thread on a machine and also by hand
