Yes, it could happen.

Especially if the wild card comes from the central.

That would mean Detroit would play the West winner (which, whomever it is, we should handle quite easily).

It is the ALCS that I am worried about.

We would likely play Boston or NY.

HOWEVER, if The Tigers just won the Central Division, and went no further....

I would be totally happy.

Considering where they have been over the past 15 years.

This is one of the most magical seasons ever.

And I am simply enjoying every minute of it.

It would be the coolest thing ever if they could go all the way and win The World Series. You can't count them out yet.

As yogi used to say "It ain't over till it's over."

Their biggest stumbling block is their lack of success this year against the upper echelon of the AL. They have not played well against New York, Boston, or Chicago, going 5-11 against those three, with 10 games left with the White Sox (6 in Chicago) and 3 each at Boston and New York.

But, then again, what do I know, being the biggest prick on here, who actually takes the time to look things up as opposed to just spouting off the cuff like Red Sux fans do...

I'm a huge fan, have been for many tears, even the past few. I just hope they make the play-offs. Still have 50 some games to play, all the other teams are now taking them seriously. Hope they don't get trashed by White Sox or Red Sox next six games.

Kudos to them on their season! However they stand little chance of going deep in the playoffs. And it's funny because there is always a team that does incredibly well during the regular season but just doesn't have what it takes during the second season. It's all about team playoff experience, which they have none of. However, good for them and I hope they prove me wrong. (From L.A. so I'm a Kirk Gibson fan by default- "This is gonna be a home run, I don't believe what I just saw!" -1988)
