Start by making 2 lists.... one with the things you like about yourself, and the 2nd a list of the things that you are unhappy about yourself with.

Look at the things you aren't happy about, and pick just 1 to start with. Think about what you would like to achieve to make it a positive. Now you need to break it down, and think about small steps you can take towards turning it into a positive. This takes time, but by breaking it into smaller parts, you can reach small milestones, giving you a sense of achievement and self worth. It will be hard work, and may take you more than one attempt to reach the smaller goals, but that's ok, you just need to keep trying! Time, patience and a belief in yourself will see you there in the end!

Good luck... and remember you have overcome the first hurdle, and that is being aware of areas that you would like to improve. That is a positive, as many people do not have the courage to admit to it, and want to do something about it!

You need to address the causes of your lack of self confidence. Only you know what that is.

Failure is not bad and should not be considered such. Use it as a learning process. When you do fail use the lesson learned to suceed the next time. You might not try the exact same thing again, but the lesson learned can be applied to many other areas of your life.

If you need it, then take some vacation time and go to a confidence building camp. I convinced, and paid, for my daughter to attend one after years of sexual abuse by her stepfather(sick sob). It did make a major difference in her life. She came back with the confidence to divorce her alcoholic and abusive husband and take control of her life. She is now in college (will graduate this winter), hold down a very demanding full time job and takes excellent care of my grandson.

Go to this google page and you will find many pages of confidence building camps.

Keep practicing on the things that you know you do well, so that when the time comes to showcase your talent, you will be more confident of what you have to show the world. Surround yourself with good friends and family who believe in you, it will soon rub off on you, and you'll feel more secure knowing that they'll always have your back. Believe that you can do great things, pretty soon, other people will too.

First you gotta figure out what is giving you low confidence. When you figure that out - work on it...fix it and you'll be on your way to a more high self-esteem person.
