first of all i need to get the wireless adapter too which costs $100. I obviously have the 360, but just to make sure does it come with a 3 free month trial for Xbox live?
so this would be my total:
FF XI- $50
wireless adapter- $100
xbox live(for 3 months)- $40
Total: $190
my school starts Aug. 28, will i have enough time to play?
right now i have $138. should i work around the house for the extra money? and if i do get it will i have enough time for the game?

WRONG! FFXI can be played with XboxLive® Silver. So it only costs $150.00. I think I might get this..

I have the game for my 360 and love it. But you may not have the time to play it. It takes about 4 hours to download all the information to the 360 hard drive the first time, but after that initial downloading it takes like 3 minutes to load it up to play everytime after that. Plus, there is a $12.95 charge a month just for using the Play-Online function that lets you play the game online, so there's another expense to play.
I personally think that it's a great game, but if you're tight on time and money to play and are just looking for a good new Final Fantasy game to play, just wait 'till September/Novemberish-Dirge of Cerberus and Final Fantasy XII come out around then for ps2 and will only cost like $50 bucks each.

Lemme give you my perspective: I bought the $600.00 360 bundle. I bought 2 more wireless controllers. I bought the 12+1 month Gold membership of Xbox Live. Do you think I'm about to kick out extra money to be online through someone else's server when I still got Halo 2, PGR3, FarCry, NCAA 2007, Splinter Cell CT, and 4 more games on the way?? Yeah right! And I'm partially disabled. I stay home all day. that's gives me plenty of time. But you got school...it ain't gonna work.

Its not worth it.... Paying 190 dollars is a waste... when your school starts at August28... you will not have enough time to play. Plus, it will be a BIG distraction to yor studies. I suggest NOT buying FInal FantasyXI for online play. I also suggest to either buy PS3 or PS2 because Fianl Fantasy games there are much better, same concept...no online lay which is much better...
I aslo heard that there are ONLY a few people at FF XI i saw 6 games rating all saying its 3/5. Hope this helps

Final Fantasy XI..What can I say..The game is incredible. I started playing it 3 years ago on my playstation 2. Total cost was around $190 dollars. Hell, it was worth it. I still play the damn game. Except I updated my computer and play it on there now. I love the game. I found time for it!

no offense to anyone but i don't see how people think Final Fantasy is so good. I think it is boring, but that's just me. id rather play RTS or hack and slash RPGs than turned based it seems more fun and shooters
