I was just wondering if that myth was accurate...the one where if you were having a girl, you craved sweets & if you were having a boy you craved sours. What did you crave and what did you end up having? Boy a or girl?

I've heard that many times! I'm 9 weeks pregnant right now, and I am eating salt like crazy... chips, pasta, pretzels, pickles, vinegar (on chips), turkey, potatoes, exc. Everyone is like "You're gonna have a boy!" lol. Who knows.

When I was pregnant I always craved vegetables. I would eat tomatoes like they were apples. The foods that I usually ate or craved before I was pregnant became disgusting to me and I wouldn't eat them during my whole pregnancy. However, I hope that you are aware that "cravings" during pregnancy have nothing to do with hormonal balance. Your body craves the foods which have the nutrients your body is needing. When I was a little girl, I used to eat the ends of matches and my mother took me to the doctor to find out why I was doing that. He informed us that my body had a very low sulfur count and I was eating the matches to compensate for that. Strange... But I gave birth to a very healthy 9.6 lb. baby girl...and never had any stretch marks. And I also never used cocoa butter or any other lotions to keep away the stretch marks. Getting stretch marks has alot to do with the vitamins you eat in your foods. Vitamin E is really good for skin health and elasticity. So make sure you eat your vegetables. :)

With my frist pregnancy, it was pancakes with syrup. She is a girl.

My 2nd, my son, I didnt have any particular thing. I would flip around from week to week with certain dinners I would want my mom to bring over to me.

With this pregnancy, twin boys, I have been craving nothing but sweets!!! Lots of chocolate, no-bake cookies, ice cream, cake, brownies. Then out of no where I will get a craving for beef jerky or like roast beef or meatloaf. Weird, eh?

So I dont see a pattern there at all!

No cravings.

Aversions to many many thing, most strongly against corn.

For a while canned peaches were the only thing I could stomach (though it was in no way a craving).

I had a girl.

I hated most foods when I was pregnant, but in the last 6 weeks, I drank orange juice like it was going to disappear from the earth. I never liked it before then and I don't like it now, but I couldn't get enough orange juice during that time. My daughter is 3 now, and guess what her favorite beverage is? Orange juice!
