Slavery is also known as Involuntary Servitude. It's slavery because you are taken against your will. However, in the context of your question, one could assume that you're implying it already exists.
I would have to say that workers in the Third World are slaves, many of them are enslaved by "American" Corporations; the biggest Slave "Owner" being WalMart.
Whatever form Slavery comes in, it's never good and should always be opposed.

If it's voluntary, is it really slavery??? I mean, slavery is bound servitude, in which the slave is the property of another person or household. By the very definition, slavery is not a voluntary state.
On the other hand, if you are willing to stretch your interpretation of the concept, I guess voluntary "slavery" is legal in some sense, at least when it comes to some marriages. I'm thinking of the type of marriage in which the woman voluntarily sumbits totally to the husband and ceases to be an individual and really does become his property in a way.
Your question could be a little more specific. What exactly do you mean by "voluntary slavery"?

So, if what you are saying, is that say someone didn't have money for school, but they wanted to attend, and they didn't want to be in debt forever, then someone would pay for their schooling for them, in return for them working at whatever. As long as it was mutually agreed upon, I don't see anything wrong with it. When it becomes slavery is when a person can be bought and sold without their consent and they have no control over anything they do or what happens to them. If they could walk out anytime, then it wouldn't be slavery, it would be trading work for someone paying for their schooling. I'm sure that there is no law against it, because two private individuals have come to an agreement that they are both satisfied with.

If it's voluntary it is not slavery. Slavery implies that it is against the wish of the enslaved person.
Voluntary slavery is make-belief slavery, like in "Let me be your sex slave".

Yes....
I belive many people still do this in a certain capacity. I know people that would love to just have a home and everything provided for them and work around the home/farm.

It already is.
Look at Bush he is the slave of America. If he was free to do what he wanted to do he could be making billions of dollars off this war.

Are you retarded? Who would volunteer to be a slave? I think you should go back to bed and wake up again. Or take a long trip and don't come back.
