An English example would be "Do not live to eat, but eat to live"

Defined as "a contrast by parallelism in reverse order".
I think the example is rather easier to follow than the definition.

If you are referring to the oratorical technique, it is based on the Greek letter Chi and looks like an "x" or a cross...
It is usually used to add emphasis to an idea
It is formed by using two words (typically) in close context with each other...in Greek and Latin poetry...within a line or two

for example.......

blah blah blah "red blood" blah blah blah
blah blah blah "blood red" blah blah blah

if you "connect" the like words..it forms an "x"
