6 days before is a bit early, but possible if you ovulated early in your cycle, if you are getting a negative test and still think you are pregnant, then I would recommend retesting closer to when your period is due.

The chances are very low. If you ovulated 14 days after your period started (which most women with normal 28 day cycles do) then you conceived around this time as well. This means it has only been 8 days since conception. It takes 6 to 12 days for a fertilized egg to attach to the lining of the uterus and another day or so for the egg to release HCG into your body. So 6 days before your period, your HCG levels probably aren't high enough to be accurately detected in a pregnancy test. I believe the earliest a test can detect accurately is 4 or 5 days before your period and that is First Response.

The HPT goes 5 days before a missed period. I dont see way 1 more day on top of that would hurt any. Buy a cheap one and try, then please let me know if it works. Because Im ansy to test too:)

I think it's best if you at least wait till the day before (assuming you have regular cycles). I know how hard it is to wait, but I'm also waiting in hopes AF doesn't arrive this weekend. Good luck and lots of baby dust!
