you know, when one co-worker is saying something NEGATIVE about another co-worker, how do you stay out of it?

I usually bend a ear to what they are saying. Then I just keep quiet, stay out of the conversation. That goes on a lot out here.

I do not like to participate in gossip. I liked the answer"What do you say about me behind my back?" The people usually shut up fast. Negative publicity can lead to negative results...

Never ever participate in it. Walk away from it. Refuse to be involved in it. Ignore it. Say something like you have to get your work done & then just be on your way.

Tough, but just keep your mouth shut! Or try to change the subject, or say, I have to get back to work, catch you later!
But try really hard to stay out of it!

i know its hard to avoid it and not pay attention when people gossip and you are in close proximity but if your working with a lot of ladies then its going to happen...best advice is to just ignore it and avoid those conversations

I usually just listen to my ipod really loud. I hate gossip.

Ask them what they say about you behind your back, that usually works, they shut up when you are in the room!

just listen and dont speak. and if they turn on you for your opinion just laugh and say ''you guys are so weird, i gotta get back to my file/work.''
