They arrested suspects.
But why ground/cancel flights inbound.
They say it was outbound flights being targeted......

They are not tlling all.

Surely we have a right to know. Why is the media not asking these questions.

Why only London airports.

Do they realy think we are dumb sheep.

any information which is released to 'the public' is necessarily also released to the terrorists.

maybe the intelligence services aren't quite ready to go public with the terrorists yet.

maybe the intelligence services are anti-terrorist.

stranger things have happened.

U may have something there, but its not only the 4 London Airports its also other Airports around the United Kingdom, and they only grounded flights for a few hours, the London Airports were just till 3pm this afternoon, it said on the news today when they gave a live statement, that they cant tell us everything at the moment as it could jeopardise further raids etc.. but we had a right to know something, they cant tell us, its as simple as that, at the moment anyway.

Other airports are also affected but the media are London based so we get news / pictures from London.

Why no incoming flights?

To avoid congestion in and around airport and so that emergency vehiles can get to airport faster.

So if any bomb is set off on the ground there is no risk to flights coming in to land.

Of course they aren't telling all - why tell the terrorists (assuming they exist - I don't know and am not trying to upset anyone) exactly what is known and what they are doing or about to do??? Guess you aren't a business person trying to stay a step ahead of the competition. Same logic applies. Mr Kipling doesn't give Mr Baker his best selling recipes......

Duhhhhhh

Surely we do NOT have a right to know. Why do you assume this? If we want to try to stop these people, how about we tell them everything we know? You tell me, how would that help?
If we are attempting an offensive, do you think it's a good idea to let the defensive units to know the plan?

We are at a stage of the security operation where information in the wrong hands costs lives.

Give them some time to get the countermeasures in place and then feel free to ask.

Could be completeley unrelated but over the last few days I have noticed a marked increase in military air traffic over my town. Chinooks, jets, seakings? What arethey up to now?

I presume the cancelling all flights would be a precaution, they'll never tell us how close we came to being hit again.

I think you are a dumb *** ...

they cancelled all flights as they had received intelligence regarding the possibility that another 10 + aircraft had been suspected as possible targets ...would you want to be the one to risk it ... I think not !
