I think that Chicago, Illinois USA would be the perfect site to host the Summer Olympic Games and here is why;

1. Chicago is a World Class City that is based on culture and has everything for everyone.

2. Chicago has excellent mass transportation and two airports.

3. Chicago is near a lake (Lake Michigan) so water events do not have to be moved elsewhere

4. Chicago has enough accomodations necessary to host the games.

5. The location of Chicago is a plus because it is located in the center of the United States so you can get their by car, plane, or train.

6. Chicago has the sporting venues necessary to host the event including Soldier Field, Wrigley Field, US Cellular Field, Northwestern University, and Lake Michigan (for water events).

I think it would be funny. The World record would be broken in the Marathon everyone would be running fast to not get shot running through the streets of Chicago.

Definitely not. Too many American cities have. Hey, a lot of big sporting nations never got any Olympics. To my mind, any American city should be at least 100-th in line!
