i could be wrong but I thought it was under Classic Fiction.

If I am not mistaken people are answering this question relating the answer to how the novel would be classified in a library setting. I believe that the genre has to do with the type or tradition that a piece of work falls into and this could apply to any piece of work from a novel to an art work.
