Will I end up last if I am too 'nice'. I am just not confrontational and I don't have an aggressive drive. I do the best I can with what I have without stepping on any toes. I even don't ask that much of my employer. But I feel I may be missing out.

no,it's not true nice guys (or girls) finish last. that was made up by some bully-type. but if you feel like youre missing out, become more assertive.go up to your employer and ask questions about your job. buy a self help book.
aggressiveness is not assertiveness.when youre assertive you have tact (no toe stepping),are nice and comfortable to be around BUT know what you want and how to get it.youre creative and can think of solutions to a problem.
remember that and good luck.

I am very much like you.
I try to do my best without hurting other people.

Sometimes it really does seem that nice guys do finish last.
But at then end of the day, everyone appreciates the nice people more than the others.
But at the same time, don't keep yourself too reserved. Sometimes you have to get out there and get yourself heard. And there are ways of doing this without losing your cool and stepping on other's toes.

You can be aggressive and a nice guy at the same time. Just make sure you are nice with the right people, and more aggresive with others.

So I say just be yourself, because it sounds like you have a very nice personality.

Hey I like to think of myself as a nice guy and I believe that I'm going to the top of the world. I met a lady 2.5 years ago and we are getting married next May 20. I am honest, open and capable of communicating with anyone of any subculture. I have a fabulous job and an employer who not only respects me for my work performance but also likes me personally. So no I do not believe that nice guys always finish last.

Be true to yourself and only good thing will come to you.

I'm sorry to say,

yeah they do

it's a completely **** world. My friends, are the nicest people in the world with very high morals when it comes to women, yet 3 of them have never even been with a girl let alone kissed them. It's **** because you know they wouldn't cheat or lie to their gf's, yet, I think girls actually like that, or at least the unpredicatbility that can bring. I think you have to balance the nice guy with the confident guy,

Sometimes they do. There is a time and season for everything under the sun. You cannot always be so simple. People will walk over you and abuse you. Sometimes you have to be assertive. You need to be flexible in this world.

you're likely searching for the incorrect sorts of girls. the sorts that could bypass for undesirable men. And as well, i don't believe of nice men end very last, merely susceptible men. nice men will be reliable too.

Yes, because only the viscious, evil ones make it to the top.. Stay good though. At least you're right with yourself and the Lord.

i think you should think of it as a competitive drive, rather than an aggressive one and you'll have your answer. if you have no competitive spirit someone who does will always beat you.
