What is gods name does the terrorist in London have anything to do with the prices of oil?? They will make any excuse to rip us off. How is this legal and why wont any do anything to stop it. I understand capitilism, but how about the government looking out for the good of the people, the people that pay their fat pay checks.

You are right the price of oil in the US should not increase just because of terrorist arrests. The bulk of America's oil comes from above (Canada) and the rest is found on US soil or international waters. Sadly you cannot do anything to stop this unless you start your own oil company and control the price. You must keep in mind other oil crisis' that are happening (ie. British Petroleum shutting down pipeline in Alaska). The American government is a capitalist government and looks out for the big companies NOT the people.

Ted, I am with you 100% .. but think in it that way:
If Mr.Bush himself is involved in the oil business ( direct or indirect ) , and gets a lOT of money out of the gas prices latest boost.. and also happen to be in the same time the President of USA.. why would he even open his mouth about it? He can make it a problem .. protect the suckers who are ripping us off.. and by the other hand collect the money and put it in his bank account..
By now I believe even if the Irany President fart while he is visiting an oil filed.. the prices will go up due to slight change of possible explosion due to the Iran's president fart gas.. Good heavens..
