Song: Stand By Me
Artist: Ben E. King

Additional Info:
Since its release, there has been many cover versions of the song, though few have achieved the fame of the original.

King's version was a Top Ten hit on the U.S. charts twice - in its original release in 1961, and a 1986 rerelease coinciding with its use as the theme song for the movie of the same name.

"Stand By Me" was originally sung by Ben E. King, lead singer of the '50's R & B group The Drifters. It has been covered many times since then.
