YES! They got a young shortstop for Maddux (who is retiring very, very soon), and Todd Walker might be a decent hitter, but he is HORRIBLE on defense.
Losing Walker & Maddux are not going to hurt the Cubs AT ALL.
Cubbies got Zambrano, Lee, a great leadoff hitter in Pierre (who isn’t that great this year though)
They just need to get Prior and Wood healthy and they will be A-OK!

It was a good decision to trade Maddux, because Dusty Baker realized that he's passed his prime, and they have a lot of young pitchers coming in that need playing time. Also, I think they could've kept Todd Walker, but I guess with so much infield depth (look for the Cubs to have one of the best infields next year if they stay healthy) it was a good idea to get at least one of them out for something else they needed. One trade I do wanna see them make is Kerry Wood for ANYONE. They have to realize that he's never gonna be the Kerry Wood of old and he's had too many injuries. Mark Prior they can wait for, he's worth it and he's really healthy compared to Wood, But Wood needs out.
Go Cubs!!!

I love Greg Maddux (well, not like THAT...). He's one of my favorite pitchers all time. But it's time for him to realize he's not the Maddux of old...just an old Maddux. He's a sure fire hall of famer, first ballot. He was traded to the Dodgers to give him one last shot at a World Series before he retires, which he will do after this season. The Cubs got something for him, which will help them at least a little down the road.

because of the fact they now have a outstanding, youthful and decrease priced short provide up signed by using 2007. Ronny Cedeno can circulate to 2nd so his aggressive throwing could be dealt with reducing his errors finished. they won't could seem for a 2nd basemen interior the offseason because of the fact of Ronny (because of the fact without Walker that could desire to be a concern). and that they have been given rid of Maddux's $9 million contract coupled with dropping wood's contract will unlock a ton of money to be spent on yet another ace pitcher - optimistically Barry Zito or Jason Schmidt - and yet another hitter like Carlos Lee because of the fact he hits super in Wrigley. And Maddux gets a raffle at a contender, he's often been a brilliant postseason pitcher. of direction what would be neglected the main is Maddux serving as a secondary pitching coach to each and all of the novices making their debuts this twelve months.

No I think that Maddux needs to stay with the Dodgers because he will at least be with a competing team this year unlike the Cubs. I am sure he would prefer to stay in Los Angeles.

Binary options let users trade in currency pairs and stocks for various predetermined time-periods, minimal of which is 30 seconds. Executing trades is straightforward. The system uses user-friendly interfaces, which even an 8 years old kid, can operate without having to read any instructions. But winning trades is Not easy.
Binary trading is advertised as the only genuine system that lets users earn preposterous amounts of money in ridiculously short period of time. Advertisers try to implicate as if you can make $350 every 60 seconds; if it was true then binary trading would truly be an astonishing business.
However, does it make any sense? Can every trader make tons of money in binary trading? Who is actually paying all the money or the profit to traders?
The first challenge is finding a trustworthy binary broker; secondly, you need to find a binary trading strategy, which you can use to make profits consistently. Without an effective trading strategy, there is no way you can make money in this business.
Learning a profitable trading strategy is possible, You should watch this presentation video https://tr.im/d0306
It's probably the best way to learn how to win with binary option

No, I do not!! Both are excellent players, and Maddux, in particular, is going to help the Dodgers win their division and who knows how much more. He is a class act, and the Cubs, as usual, screwed up. But, what else is new??
Chow!!

Sure they did. They're awful. They need to get younger and better. What were Maddux and Walker going to do for them this year? Both of their contracts are up at the end of the season.
They can resign the guys. They got players in exchange for rentals.

I completely miss Maddux. I got to see him and Nomar last year, when the Cubs played the Reds in Cincy. It was amazing! I definitely wish they would have kept him. He is getting older though.
