Something that does NOT contain any animal products.
And as I say above, something which is deemed "safe". Safe may be an arbitrary term, but none the less...on today's market there are things the consumer needs to be careful with/about.

The fertilizer can be mineral, it can be synthetic, it can be organic, or it can be a combination of all three.mentioned categories

thanks

How do you like plants as fertilizers? Some of the Fabaceae live in embiosis with nitrogen fixating bacteria. The Leguminosae (or Fabaceae sensu lato) is the second largest families of flowering plants with 650 genera and over 18,000 species. These are commonly called legumes or pulses and the family contains some of our most valuable food crops, such as beans, peas, peanuts, soybeans, and lentils. It is due to the fact that they have these systems, that their nutricious value is so high: they can make a lot of protein. (therefore, N is needed)

There is no safety issue with fertilizers. If the plant likes it, it is safe, whether its original origin is animal, vegetable, or mineral. Fertilizers simply supply ionic nutrients such as phosphate or nitrate, and the source of the nutrient is immaterial.

What about just rotten food. When I was little and lived on a farm we used everything from fish guts to apple cores and leaves and those sorts of things. I don't think you have to use animal poop or any kinds of chemicals.
