Getting a book to sell is hard enough. Getting a comic to sell is Extremely difficult. It's not a bad idea, just do a lot of research first, and understand the risks.

How about finishing the book first? It might end up being a load of crap that you DON'T want to turn into a comic book. One thing at a time...

If you think that the book material is a good story to put into a comic, then go for it.

If you want and if you think the material is fit for a comic, go ahead. But you have to have good pictures and good penmanship.
